The Marshalltown High School Activities Department is thrilled to announce another successful year for the Bobcat Golf Fundraiser. Held on Thursday, June 20, the event raised an estimated $30,000, which will go directly towards supporting Bobcat activities.
“We are deeply grateful to all our sponsors, participants, and the incredible support we receive from the community,” said MHS Activities Director Ryan Isgrig. “This year’s Bobcat Golf Fundraiser was a success and the funds raised will significantly enhance the experiences of our Bobcat student-athletes. We look forward to seeing the positive impact of this event on our programs and the opportunities it will create for our students. “
This year's fundraiser saw over 300 golfers participating at the American Legion Golf Course. In the morning group, Team Wandering Creek of Joe Myers, Doug Weatherman, Mike Younkin and Gary Zobel scored -17 under-par to secure first place. The afternoon group's top honors went to Team Bowman & Miller PC of Nate Minkel, Peter Collison, Cole Jansen, and Brett Holland, who finished -19 under-par.
Additional awards were presented to Brock Barnhart for Longest Drive and Jon Lechnir for Closest to the Pin.
