BROOKLYN — The Marshalltown girls’ wrestling team went 1-3 in finishing in sixth place at the BGM Duals on Saturday.

The Bobcats fell to Nevada (54-30) and Iowa City Liberty (52-23) before beating host BGM (54-30) to round out pool play. Marshalltown then fell to Gilbert, 48-36, in the match to decide fifth place.

Genevieve Lantigua was the top performing Bobcat on the mat, going 3-1 with three pins on the day at 155 pounds. Ava Kusserow came away with a 2-1 record at 130, recording two pins, and Adele Beek earned the sasme results at 120.

Patricia Meto Merita (125) won her opening match by fall, while Leah Graves got one win by pin as well.
