DES MOINES — The Marshalltown girls’ swimming team won every event in a four-team meet hosted by Des Moines Hoover on Tuesday night.

The Bobcats beat Atlantic (128-22), Carroll (132-17) and the host Huskies (134-18) in the quadrangular meet, sweeping the top-two spots in eight of 10 races in the pool.

Leia Hernandez and Emma Case both went 4-for-4, winning in each of their events. Hernandez claimed the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events and also participated on a pair of winning Bobcat relays — the 200 medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay.

Case claimed the top spot in the 200 individual medley, the 100 butterfly, and swam on the 200 and 400 freestyle relays.

Adele Beek was a three-time winner, as was Maisie Gummert. Beek was first to the wall in the 100 breaststroke and a member of the 200 medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay, while Gummert got gold in the 200 and 500 freestyle, and the 400 freestyle relay.
