The Marshalltown Community School District is pleased to announce the beginning of the Franklin Field construction project. This important project will begin in the near future and as a result, there will be changes to the traffic patterns around Franklin Elementary School, particularly concerning student pick-up and drop-off.
Starting Monday, April 14, the preschool bus drop-off and pick-up will be relocated from its current location, the N. 14th Street gate entrance, to the Main Street bus cutout (the area where buses pull in and out of traffic flow) at Franklin Elementary School.
In addition, the Preschool and East playgrounds as well as a grassy area and a blacktop area will remain available to students until the last day of school.
We ask for the community’s patience and understanding as we make these necessary adjustments. Staff, families and the district’s communication team are working closely to keep everyone informed and maintain a safe learning environment for all.
