Marshalltown High School will host a Parent Night on Thursday, May 8, offering families of 11th and 12th grade students information about college and career planning, as well as financial aid assistance.
The event will begin with a free dinner at 5:00 p.m. in the MHS Cafeteria. Programming for both grade levels will follow from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Juniors and their families are invited to attend a presentation, titled “Planning for Your Future,” in the school library. It will focus on preparing for college, career, and life after graduation.
Seniors and their families can participate in a FAFSA assistance session in the cafeteria. Attendees to the session are asked to bring their 2023 tax returns.
“We are committed to helping our students and their families navigate the important steps toward life after high school,” said MHS Principal Justin Boliver. “Events like this provide guidance and support at a crucial time in their journey. We encourage all juniors and seniors, along with the parents and guardians, to attend and get the information and resources they need as they approach the future.”
Students who attend Parent Night will be entered into a drawing to win a $500 Marshalltown Community College scholarship. Bilingual support will be available in English and Spanish.
